Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Monarch's Roost ("we", "us") collects through www.monarchsroost.com and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Question form: your name, email address, optional dates, number of guests and pet details, and your question.
- Reservations: when you press Book Direct you go to our booking page run by Guesty (guestybookings.com). Guesty collects the details needed to reserve and pay, under its own terms and privacy policy, and shares them with us so we can host you.
- Email: if you email info@monarchsroost.com, we receive your address and the content of your message.
- Technical data: our host, Netlify, processes standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
What we do not do
- We do not use advertising or tracking pixels, and we do not run analytics that set cookies on this site.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
- We do not add you to a mailing list from the booking form.
How we use your information
We use your details to answer your question, check availability, arrange a stay, and keep ordinary business records. We may also use them to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who receives it
Only service providers that help us run the site, take reservations and handle email, such as Netlify (hosting and form processing), Guesty (reservations and payments) and our email provider. They may process your information only to provide their services to us. Payment and identity checks for a reservation are handled by Guesty and its payment processors under their own privacy policies.
Videos, maps and third-party links
Our property tour video (YouTube) loads only after you press play, and uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once it loads, that provider may collect data under its own policy. Links to our Guesty booking page, Airbnb, Expedia and VRBO, Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook take you to sites we do not control.
How long we keep it
We keep questions, reservation records and related emails for as long as needed to respond and to keep business, tax and legal records, then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing info@monarchsroost.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as those in California, Virginia, Colorado, Tennessee and other states may give you additional rights, including to access, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we will respond to valid requests as the law requires.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or government ID numbers through the question form or by ordinary email.
Children
This site is for adults planning travel. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, or add analytics or other tools that use cookies, we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
